Most schematic capture systems come with a default pin spacing setting that will do the job quite adequately. There are times though where changing the pin to pin grid spacing can be beneficial. If your design has a lot of small components on it and you want to conserve space on the schematic sheet, you can change to a smaller pin grid spacing. Adding and Creating PSpice Models - shows how PSpice models can be created and edited using the PSpice Model Editor, which can be started by highlighting a PSpice part in Capture. Descriptions of PSpice models, subcircuits, and the Model Editor. Transmission Lines - describes ideal and lossy transmission lines.

New to the Second Edition Updated MATLAB topics Schematic capture and text-based PSPICE netlists in several chapters New chapter on PSPICE simulation using the ORCAD schematic capture program New examples and problems, along with a revised bibliography in each chapter This second edition continues to provide an introduction to PSPICE and a simple, hands-on overview of MATLAB. Creating and Modifying Models Using Capture Digital Simulations Monte Carlo Analyses Project Management with Orcad Capture CIS --A. Installing Orcad Lite Version --B. Scale Multipliers for PSpice and Capture --C. Functions Available with Probe --D. Schematic Errors - .

Capture is used to build the schematic diagram of the circuit, and Layout is used to design the circuit board so that it can be manufactured. The secondary goal is to show the reader how to add PSpice simulation capabilities to the design, and how to develop custom schematic parts, footprints and PSpice .   Therein lies the advantage in PSpice, which gives you access to an unlimited virtual inventory of 33,+ components. Go straight from schematic capture into prototyping via PSpice, and make the necessary design changes to your schematic as you identify improvements in your design.

Dennis Fitzpatrick, in Analog Design and Simulation Using OrCAD Capture and PSpice (Second Edition), Abstract.

Capture designs can either be flat, in which signals are connected across pages in the design, or hierarchical, in which the design is partitioned into blocks and signals transverse up and down the hierarchy. This authoritative book shows students how to use the Pspice® circuit simulation program with the schematic capture front end, Capture®.

It features an abundant collection of examples that demonstrate how to create a circuit, run different analyses, and obtain results from those s: 8.

Chapters cover how to Design a PCB using OrCAD Capture and OrCAD Layout, adding PSpice simulation capabilities to a design, how to develop custom schematic parts, how to create footprints and PSpice models, and how to perform documentation, simulation and board fabrication from the same schematic design.

This book is suitable for both beginners and experienced designers, Reviews: 5. Schematic capture with PSpice. New York: Merrill ; Toronto: Maxwell Macmillan Canada ; New York: Maxwell Macmillan International, © (OCoLC) Document Type: Book: All Authors / Contributors: Marc E Herniter.

For users who are familiar with previous versions of PSpice that used Schematic to enter a circuit and start an analysis, the book provides direction on how to switch over and employ Capture. The only reason for only 4 stars is that some of the graphics are poor quality/5.Allegro Design Entry Capture and Capture CIS allows designers to back-annotate layout changes, make gate/pin swaps, and change component names or values from board design to schematic using the feedback process.

It also comes with a large library of schematic symbols and can export netlists in a wide variety of formats.Three schematic pages are needed for this project: one for analog circuitry, one for digital circuitry, and one for PSpice simulation sources.

A new project initially contains one schematic page, page will be renamed, and two more pages will be added. To change the name of an existing schematic page, select the Schematic Page icon, right click, and select Rename from the pop-up menu.
